What a Sunday! Ellie's dance group danced at the local Freedom Festival on Sunday in the Entertainment tent. We practiced at the studio 1 1/2 hrs before going over to the festival. Ellie had a great time on stage and loved being a part of the activites. She was excited to see all the older dancers perform and is looking forward to being in that group next year. After the performace Ellie, Ansley, and I walked around the festival for about 2 hours. We played games, ate lunch, shopped, made crafts and visted the face painting booth. It was fun, but REALLY hot and humid. After 2 hours we made our way (or walked about 1 1/2 miles) to the line up spot for the parade. Both girls got to ride the "float" and were thrilled to be in the parade. What a fun thing to get to be a part of. By the end of the day we were all exhausted, but had a great time!
