Cincinnati trip

Last week Ellie, Ansley, Rick and I went for a two night mini vacation in Cincinnati. Aliya stayed with Susan and Ron and had a great visit!

We started out by having dinner at the local Pizza Tower which was very interesting and perfect for a family. When they sat us at the booth they placed a large lump of pizza dough right onto the table. Rick and I both looked at each other and really hoped we would not be eating that later in the evening. It just seemed very unsanitary and just weird. So after settling into the booth we looked at the kids menus and figured out that the dough was to play and make things with....whew! We had a nice pizza dinner with two huge cookies for dessert, what more could you ask for.

After dinner we went back to the hotel to swim, swim, swim. The pool was great for the girls. It had a shallow end that Ansley could stand up in and a deep end for all of Ellie's tricks. Rick and I got in too since it was warm and we had fun playing with the girls. We went to bed late and excited for the morning.

Off to Kings Island in the morning!! We got there just minutes after the park opened and headed to the kid area. The girls rode the swings there first and quickly discovered that they are outgrowing the kiddie rides. So, we skipped a few and went to the Beastie as it used to be known. We had fun riding together and continued through the park looking for rides we had never tried before. It was really a nice day with small crowds. The only crowded part was the water park, so we did not stay there very long. We finished the day with dinner out and you guessed it, more swimming at the hotel.

We spent the last day having a big breakfast and heading to the Zoo. It was a really nice zoo, but the girls were worn out from the day before and were dragging a bit. I do think they enjoyed it though.

We had fun and look forward to going again next year!
