Well the day has come and gone....Aliya is officially two!! She had a great birthday and was very excited for all of the extra attention. We started the day with singing Happy Birthday when she woke up. Her eyes lit up when we said "dear Aliya" in the song. She then continued to sing Happy Birthday to herself the rest of the day. We spent the unusually warm morning at the park, and then went to Kroger to get a treat and visit her favorite Bob The Builder toy at the front of the store. That evening Grandma brought over some new PJ's with Minnie on them that Aliya just loved..."look Gma Minnie...so cute". The night finished out with a HUGE cupcake and one more song. Before I could cut the cupcake she had her face in it, so we went with that. All three girls had a lot of fun with that!
A few days later we had a family party at Nana and Bubba's house. They were so generous to host and provide the food for all of us. Thank you!! I truly enjoyed not having to clean and cook after a week of tests. The party was a success and Aliya really enjoyed herself with so many of her cousins there. She loved all the gifts and especially the cake! All she wanted for her birthday was cake, so when it came time she was thrilled.
Thank you to everyone who remembered her special day and/or celebrated with us!! She is so much fun to be with and I am trying my best to enjoy every moment of her being little.
